On November 17, the 30th China Daily "21st Century Cup" National English Speaking Competition concluded successfully in Hangzhou. Students from Guangxi University's School of Foreign Languages and Literatures demonstrated outstanding performance in the event, with undergraduate Chen Ruiying (first from right) earning a first prize in the national finals, while Li Xinyi and Wei Zhehan secured second and third prizes respectively in the regional competitions.

Established in 1996 and recognized by the Ministry of Education as a Category A national academic competition, the China Daily "21st Century Cup" has now been held for thirty consecutive sessions. As the China selection round for the International Public Speaking Competition, this event provides a high-level platform for young students domestically and internationally to exchange ideas and learn from one another. Under the guidance of China Daily, organized by the 21st Century Newspaper, and supported by the English-Speaking Union and BBC Learning English, this year's competition progressed through campus and regional rounds, ultimately bringing together over 300 outstanding contestants from universities across the country to compete on the same stage.
