Recently, a delegation led by Ms. Châu Hoài Thu, Deputy Director of the Quảng Ninh Department of Education and Training, Vietnam, visited GXU. Xiao Jianzhuang, Vice President of GXU attended the discussion meeting.

Xiao Jianzhuang welcomed the delegation's visit and introduced the achievements made by GXU in recent years in discipline construction, talent cultivation, and scientific research innovation. He pointed out that the profound connection between Guangxi University and the Vietnamese education sector, rooted in the former Guangxi Nanning Yucai School, provides a solid foundation for educational cooperation between the two sides. He expressed the hope to take this exchange as an opportunity to establish a full-chain cooperative relationship with Quảng Ninh Province, spanning from basic education to higher education, and to deepen collaboration in areas such as teacher and student exchanges, joint scientific research projects, and language and cultural exchanges. Simultaneously, he welcomed outstanding students from Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, to participate in exchange and study programs at GXU, jointly solidifying the foundation of cooperation and promoting the depth and substance of China-Vietnam educational collaboration.

Châu Hoài Thu expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Guangxi University and emphasized that the enduring China-Vietnam friendship finds an important bridge in educational cooperation for enhancing the feelings between the peoples of the two countries. She stated that Quảng Ninh Province highly values educational cooperation with Guangxi and Guangxi University, and there is broad space for synergistic development in cross-educational stages cooperation between the two sides. She expressed the hope that, on the basis of deepening higher education cooperation, the collaboration could be extended to the primary and secondary school stages, constructing a comprehensive system of cooperation. Furthermore, she looked forward to Guangxi University providing more support for students from Quảng Ninh Province, promoting the sharing and complementary advantages of educational resources between the two places, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of cooperation, and achieving mutual benefit and common development.

After the discussion, the delegation met with representatives of Vietnamese students studying at Guangxi University and held cordial exchanges with them. They inquired in details about the students' academic progress and campus life, listened to their experiences and gains from studying in China, and encouraged them to cherish the learning opportunities, delve deeply into their professional knowledge, and strive to become youth envoys for China-Vietnam cultural exchange and friendly cooperation.

The delegation also visited the University Auditorium. Through observing precious historical materials and artifacts and listening to on-site explanations, they gained an in-depth understanding of the history, evolution, and significant meaning of the legacy—— the former Guangxi Nanning Yucai School.
