Guangxi University Invited to 2025 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week

On July 25-26, Guangxi University was invited to attend the 2025 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week held in Guiyang. Xiao Jianzhuang, Vice President, participated in the International Symposium on High-Level International Talent Cultivation hosted by the Center for China-Europe People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education, as well as the sub-forum on "Building Key Regional Education Hub Cities and Promoting High-Level Opening-Up in China-ASEAN Region."

During the roundtable dialogue session of the symposium, Xiao Jianzhuang addressed the key question of "Demand Leadership and Innovation Drive: How to Cultivate Future-Oriented International Talents?" Drawing from Guangxi University's experience and practices in implementing international exchange activities and programs, he exchanged insights and proposed recommendations on the conceptual significance, specific requirements, and cultivation pathways for high-level international talent development.

At the sub-forum on regional education hub cities, Xiao Jianzhuang delivered a keynote report titled "Deepening Engagement with ASEAN: Building a High-Level Regional Education Cooperation Community," sharing Guangxi University's experience and achievements in educational collaboration with ASEAN countries. He engaged in in-depth discussions with guests on strategies to enhance university partnerships and jointly develop a regional education community, providing intellectual and practical support for the construction of key education hub cities and high-level opening-up in the China-ASEAN region.

It is reported that this year's Cooperation Week, under the theme "Intellectual Convergence, Educational Integration, and Collaborative Development," aims to strengthen the educational and people-to-people ties between China and ASEAN countries, contributing wisdom and strength to building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future. The symposium, themed "Global Collaboration·Educational Innovation—Cultivating Future-Oriented International Talents," attracted nearly 200 Chinese and international participants, including officials from education departments of China and ASEAN countries, representatives of higher education institutions, experts and scholars in related fields, practitioners, and international organization representatives.
